Kids and Schools Department
Sport Coaching - A team of CSF leaders are involved ministering to kids at schools through Sports coaching.
Presently CSF works in 15 schools coaching professional Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Athletics, Badminton and Cricket.
Coaching happens in 2 sessions - mornings and evenings where CSF coaches work hard to
teach sports skills, life skills and also present the good news of gospel to the school kids.
Tournaments - Schools department also organizes inter-school tournaments for sport development and proclamation.
Kids Games - CSF is actively engaged in working with India wide partnership of Kids Games which is an initiative to reach Kids in India with the good news. Kids Games has served over 700,000 kids in the last one year in India and CSF has been one of the primary partners of this nation wide initiative.
Youth and University Department
University department is focusing on building sports cell groups in Colleges and Universities in the city of Chennai Several programs and initiatives are being planned towards working for an effective University ministry in the coming days. Seminars, trainings and sports events at colleges are being planned towards this department work.
Presently CSF works in 5 colleges with sports cells and hopes to begin the work in 5 more colleges before the end of 2009.
Community Sports Department
Community department is actively working in 23 poor communities in the city of Chennai through sports coaching, Life Skills training and presenting the good news.
Community department also has planted 17 sports cell groups in these communities led by a CSF leader who' lives either in the community or near the community. The cell groups meet once every week at the house of the leader or a member who lives in the community.
Community department also organizes community soccer summer coaching, inter-community soccer league, Inter-community sports competitions and 3 day Sports camps for teens and kids from the Communities for outreach, discipleship and for training.
Players and Teams Department
Players and teams department works with 20 professional teams in and around the city of Chennai. We have 15 soccer teams, 2 basketball teams, 2 volleyball teams and 1 cricket team in the district leagues and 2 non league blue sky cricket teams in Tamil Nadu are a platform that we use to serve the players, disciple them and develop them for future serving.
The LSA academies: The LSA pro soccer school, The LSA Volleyball, Basketball, Football and Athletics for girls at different schools and centers in Chennai. The active academies at the communities are Porur, KM garden, Pammal, Tambaram, Chrompet, Mount, Ayanavaram, Sevvapet, Saidapet and Korrukupet.
Players and teams department also organizes sports outreaches and shares the
good news after playing matches with schools, colleges, communities and villages.
Sports tours to neighboring districts and states to play and proclaim Jesus through
sports.
Sports mission tours are also part of the work of the players and teams dept and they
organize sports mission tours to remote and distant places in India where they coach
and train school kids or villages kids on sports / life skills and also present the gospel
in those remote places.
Training and Development Department
The Training and Development department works on training Sports Ministry leaders in CSF and
also training leaders from different areas in Chennai. 3 training schools in Porur, Pammal and Vyasrapadi
are run every year to train young leaders on sports ministry in Chennai.
CSF Training department also takes the lead helping organize training in different cities in India and
Sri Lanka. In 2009 CSF has helped run 3 - 5 day trainings in 5 different cities in India. 5 more trainings
if 5 cities are planned for 2009. CSF training dept also actively helps in running the 25 day Asia Sports
Leadership School that servers leaders in Nepal Sri Lanka Bhutan Bangladesh and India. This serves
as the primary training school for development of sports ministry leaders in South Asia. Over 300
Leaders have been trained in the past 3 years in sports ministry thro the efforts of the CSF
Training department.
Fellowship and Church Department
Every Friday CSF meets for a time of Praise and Worship, Bible study, Fellowship and Hearing God's word.
We have been meeting every Friday for the past 21 years. This meeting serves as a way to connect the
Sports persons with God and helps them grow in their faith.
The Church department also focuses on casting vision and training churches on sports ministry in Chennai.
Regular prayer initiatives are organized by the Church department to engage CSF members in fasting and
night prayers for the ministry and for sportspersons.
Administration Department
CSF has a strong Administration team and a working committee that meets every month for planning and review
All major decisions are taken by the Administration team.
Finance Department
CSF Finance department works on raising local support for the work and mission of CSF
Presently most of the work is supported through local donors and through contributions
from CSF members. The Finance team is now actively trying to raise more local donors
and we hope to raise a 50 - 75% of the annual budget through local sponsors in the
coming years.
